As a vehicle for Mark's original songs, former Rich Rags co-founders John Comerford, (visiting Canadian dignitary) Jeff Levy, and Nancy Scott unite with Texas R&B/Rock great Gerry "G.W." Rose in the studio, four songs of which ultimately appear on their self-produced, self-titled 12" album. The band did a handful of special performances, often with drummer Rob Wright.
Brief history:
In 1982, a year after the demise of Rich Rags, Nancy and I got a garage in central Pinellas (County) to store our crap while we lived with the in-laws, to save up to buy a home. We ended up pushing our furniture to the rear, and using the rest of it as a practice hall. Several old cronies and friends from work came over at various times and we played around with whatever caught our fancy, primarily my songs, a classic "garage band" if there ever was one. Somehow we attracted the interest of drummer Rob Wright, Nancy was ever-present, John Comerford was away again. It was brutally hot in the summer, dusty, dirty and bug-ridden year-round, and the neighborhood was weird at best, but we loved it. It was a great hangout and we managed to mangle many of my tunes on tape. Some have survived and make up part of the BackTracks Volumes.

Very briefly we were "The Element", but this really is the start of "The Grown-ups", which was, by the way, one of the more obscure songs in the Rich Rags repertoire.
I haven't heard from Rob Wright in a very long time, we didn't hang outside of the band, but I didn't think he'd drop off the map. I know for several years after we parted ways he was in a band called Lancelot.
